Gina Galvan’s Mood for Food Brand Group and Quaker Steak and Lube of Sharon, Pa. enter into a contract retainer for Culinary Innovation and Menu Strategy.   
        
A Forty year old 70 unit casual diner, Quaker Steak & Lube listed in the Top 200 of Restaurant News April 2014, hired Mood for Food Brand Group in June 2014.  In May of 2014 QSL acquired a new CEO Greg Lippert, who had hired Mood for Food in the past during his tenure as CEO at Mazzio’s of Tulsa, OK.  MFF assisted in the successful launch of Mazzio’s Fast Casual spinoff Oliveto Wine Bar 2008.
      In June 2014 MFF entering into an immersion of the QSL brand at a Franchise in (Westminster, Co.) gathering insight, BOH process and brand position.  Working directly with Sr. Director of R&D Katy Malaniak, her top notch culinary team and the Executive internal drive team,  supplying weekly, Culinary Research and Support, Menu Strategy and Engineering and valuable Marketing Insight.
       Mood for Food assisting in the development of a hand battered Chicken Tender program which rolled out last month with great success.  Now charged with launching a new menu category, STREET FOOD.  Introducing several new items, the “SLAMwich”,  BBQ Sliders, Truck Tacos and Loaded Fries.  Currently in a 4 store test soon to roll out chain wide.  The “SLAMwich” a take on the recently popularized pressed Cuban Sandwich or the “Media Noche” which was featured in the recently critically acclaimed movie “the Chef” with actor John Favreau.  MFF also assisted the drive team with a complete menu re-haul and rewrite, assisting in the marketing direction and menu navigation.
Currently MFF is working on spring 2015 launches of  the next phase of STREET FOODS and some other items soon to be revealed for January test.
